So today was a crazy day! I was so excited about my shopping trip that I woke up at 12:30am and didn't go back to sleep until 2am! Mommy was a good sport about it, though and played with me until I decided it was time for a little rest :) Later in the morning, we got ready and met Great Granny at Oma's house (where I was played with and adored) and then we set off on our big adventure. I slept the whole way to St. Paul and woke up to shop. I was a very, very good girl all day! Mommy and Granny took me to a big, big store called "Ikea" where we wandered around for a million years looking for furniture for Aunt Nicole's new apartment. I guess I had too much fun because I couldn't sleep on the way home. Granny sat in the back seat and played peek-a-boo with me and made all kinds of silly noises to keep me happy for the long drive.
When we got back to Oma's house, I was so happy to be out of my carseat that I was all giggles and smiles :) Granny jiggled my tummy and made me laugh - like, really laugh - Mommy and Aunt Nicole were so excited about that because I'd never laughed like that before! Then Aunt Nicole turned into the Tickle Monster and made me squeal with delight :) There's a little video here of us playing so be sure to check it out! Mommy and I were pretty tired from our long, busy day that we went home to settle down for the night. I took a teeny weeny nap and then woke up to eat a whole jar of prunes. I don't know why those guys get such a bad rap - they're delicious! We made a pretty good mess so I took a bathy and now I smell fantastic :)
I'm going to read some books (Sandra Boynton - my favorite!) and go to bed now so nighty-night!
