Today was a great "Clairesday!" I slept for a million hours last night and then spent a great morning with Mommy, just playing and hanging out. I spent a long time playing in my Jumperoo - Mommy thinks I sound like a monkey when I get excited in there... We took a nice walk in the morning but then it started to rain again, so I got to play some more! We took a mini-nap and then once it stopped raining, we went to the park. I really do love to swing :) It was nice and cool and we didn't have to worry about sunscreen because the sun was hiding - as much as I loooove the sunshine, I really don't like to wear sunscreen (but I do like to try to eat it...)!
When we got home, I was famished so I had some prunes and cereal. I decided that making my monkey noises and banging on the tray was much more fun, so I gave up on the food. Mommy took a six-minute video of me doing that - I'm sure someday she'll find a way to embarass me with it...haha! We played some more and then took another little nap - I love to nap with Mommy on Wednesdays! We sleep so soundly that it feels like only minutes have passed and I wake up so refreshed and feeling loved :)
After that, I got to lay on the lawn and roll around until Daddy came home. I'm an outdoorsy girl for sure! I can't wait to go fishing with Daddy and do cool things outside with him, 'cuz he loves to be outside too!
Daddy had a meeting, so Mommy took me to see Oma and Pop-Pop :) I just love my Oma soooo much! She thinks it's because she wears shiny jewelry but it's really because she's so silly! She talks to me in silly voices and smiles at me all the time! She also has bigggg blue eyes - just like mine! I got a special treat tonight - Aunt Nicole came over and played! She's a lot like Oma - silly and fun, with those big eyes - I love her lots and lots, too :)
After much play, I fell asleep on Oma and then I woke up in the car - I'm not quite sure how that happened but once I got home, Mommy gave me a wonderful bath (I was very stinky!) and made a feeble attempt to put me to bed. I was so tired that I could hardly keep my eyes open, but I didn't want to sleep so I opted to scream and scream until she gave up and played with me instead. Daddy came home and he got in on the play action and when Daddy plays with me, it's so much fun that I get all tuckered out fast! I still don't want to go to sleep (gosh, I might miss something!) but I'll let them win - I guess I'll lay down but I make no promises on duration or quality of sleep... Nighty-night!
