Fabulous Fourth

I had the most fabulous Fourth of July weekend ever! Okay, okay so it's my first ever, but still - it was great! After I blogged on Friday, I went to sleep but had a really rough night - I'm not used to sleeping away from home - but I woke up to a wonderful morning :) I played with Great Granny and got covered in kisses before driving forever to the enchanted land of Milwaukee!

When I was finally out of the car, a very nice lady scooped me up and snuggled me right away. Then a very silly man came and played with my toesies! I loved them from the first moment I saw them, that's for sure :) These strange people are named Bettina and Paul and are close friends of Mommy and Daddy - and I got to spend all day with them! They let me play on a very colorful playmat with all kinds of super cool toys on it - I even got to play with my very first rattle :) It was the best ever!

I got tons and tons of hugs, kisses, snuggles and playtime :) The best part was my room, though. There was something I had never seen before - a fishtank! Oh my oh my and what a fishtank it was! It was huge with lots of busy little fish - I couldn't stop staring at them. My bed was right in front of it, so I spent a lot of time talking and squealing to the fish. I might just have Mommy and Daddy convinced that I must have a fishtank at home because I was so excited about it :)

We spent all day Saturday there and left this afternoon for another very, very long carride. I was very good the whole time, but was grateful for a little break. We stopped at a really pretty rest area and played in the grass for a long time before we got back on the road. Boy, that was great! I slept most of the way after that and woke up when we got home. What a great trip! I'm still pretty tuckered out from such a busy weekend, so I think I'll get some rest. Nighty-night!
