Welcome!

I'm little Miss Claire and this is my brand new blog! My friend Hunter has one, so I thought this would be a great way to keep all of my friends and family up to date on what's happening. So...welcome! I hope you enjoy storytime with me, as well as my pictures and videos :)

Let me get you up to speed on life these days. I'm 12 weeks old today (break out the wrinkle cream! I'm getting old lol!) and Mommy tells me that I'm a big girl now. I can sit up on my own - a little wobbly, yes - and getting stronger everyday. We're working on tummy time but I don't like it, so we're slowly trying to get me used to it. I've been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now - ever since Mommy went back to work. I go to see Lisa, my daycare provider, on Mondays & Tuesdays, get to hang out with Mommy all day Wednesday, then have a fun afternoon with Grandma K on Thursdays and an extra special treat on Fridays - Daddy works from home so that he can spend more time with me. My new schedule has been a bit hard to adjust to but it's getting better. As much as I love to be with Mommy, I'm getting used to my time with others and I'll tell you a secret - I even like it a lot some days!

I'm talking a lot more these days - a little "oooh" and "awooo" and my parents go crazy! I get pretty excited about it and sometimes chatter on and on for several minutes. I absolutely LOVE to smile and laugh - Mommy and Daddy tell me that I'm a very good baby. I don't want them thinking I'm perfect, so I throw in a little "Clairezilla" from time to time, though :)

I'm starting to drool all over everything and my fist is delicious - I can almost fit the whole thing in my mouth! Daddy and Mommy are going to give me some rice cereal soon, since I've been eyeing up their food so much these days. We'll see how that goes, since I do so love my milk. My new favorite game is to try to eat the clothes that Mommy puts me in before she can get them on. I usually win. It's a pretty fun game so I love to get dressed and undressed :) I also love bathtime!

That's enough catch-up for now. Tonight, Mommy took me to the Presbyterian church where she used to work and I got to meet lots of cool kids and really nice grownups. I even got to snuggle with pediatrician Dr. B and Mommy got some great tips for tummy time and cereal feeding. Dr. B also said that I'm perfect! Good weight, good size and good looking lol :) When I got home, I played with Mommy, did some tummy time and then decided I was going to be fussypants, so Mommy gave me a soothing bath. Ahhh...all tuckered out now and I have a busy day tomorrow! Grandma K is coming to see me all afternoon, then Aunt Nicole, Grandma Tammi(Oma) and Great Granny are coming in the evening. Then Friday I get to go play with Aunt Jenny and cousin Megan until Daddy gets back from out of town. Wow! I can't wait to hang out with my family - I love them sooo much!
