Golly! I have been so busy that I nearly forgot to tell you all about my birthday! As you know, I'm now two years old, which means I am a very, very big girl. So I had a big girl birthday party at Oma and PopPop's house :) I helped Mommy make my special cake (the biggest cupcake in the whole, wide world) and helped Daddy eat the sprinkles... I was such a patient girl - I had to look at that cake and all the little cupcakes ALL day! I waited to eat one until everyone got there and Mommy was very proud of me :)
I got lots and lots of hugs and kisses, plus the best presents in the world! I got a new puzzle that sings "Mary had a Little Lamb," and I'm learning to sing along with it. I say, "Mary went...Mary went..." over and over and over LOL... I also got a Sit 'n Spin, which has to be the best toy ever! You sit on it and...spin! I like to try and stand on it but Mommy and Daddy keep telling me that's not a good idea. I got tons of super fun new toys! My favorite things are probably the art supplies that I got from Oma and PopPop. They gave me my very own art easel, paints, crayons and chalk! I have been destroying the kitchen table with that setup since we brought it home - it's the BEST! Uncle Justin & Missy gave me Play-dough, which is just about my favorite thing in the world.
My birthday was super duper awesome! I even got to wear a special party hat that my cousin Collin helped me put on. Playing with Collin was super fun. He is really, really funny! My favorite part of the day (after my delicious cupcake, of course) was running through the house with my balloons! I wish I could have balloons everyday :) And cupcakes. And pizza. And presents.... Is it my birthday again yet??!? :)
The best part of my birthday was that it went on all weekend. Not only did I have a party, but I also got to stay in a hotel and go swimming in a big waterpark! Daddy took me down little water slides and we had so much fun I didn't want it to end! My swimsuit kept getting bigger and bigger the more I played in the water so Mommy eventually took it off, which was awesome! I got to play "Almost-Naked-Baby" (for those of you who don't know, "Naked Baby" is my favorite game in the world...I run around the house in the nudie and scream "I'm naked baby! I'm naked baby!" It's a great game - you should all try it sometime!). Boy, oh boy, was that ever a fun fun day! I can't wait until it's summertime again and I can go to the pool all the time :)
Back home I've been keeping myself occupied with playschool, playdates, and well, playing! I love to play out in the snow and sometimes when it's really cold outside, Mommy brings in a big bowl of snow and I play with it in the sink! I like to hide things in it and dig them out :) Sometimes I eat the snow and Mommy tries to tell me that it's icky and dirty, so I shouldn't eat it. I say it looks clean to me!
Speaking of speaking... I'm a little jabberjaw these days - more than ever before. I say just about everything and a lot of things make Mommy and Daddy laugh :) Just the other day I was playing with my Play-dough and I told the horsie not to pee in the pool - pee on the potty horsie... I also like to pretend there are monsters in the other room and yell, "RAWR!" to scare them away. I have my very own screwdriver and like to help fix things. Just the other day I turned my rocking horse over and went to work on the screws. Then I climbed on top of it while it was up-side-down and fell off. I'm sure that this was the horse's fault and not mine... I told the horse, "Be nice rocking horse! No hurt Claire anymore!"
Oh gosh, I could go on and on about how smart I am but I'm getting tired. I think it's time for a little nap :) Enjoy the pictures! Nighty-night!
