Busy As Can Be!

Golly, it sure has been a long time since my last blog! I have just been busy as can be these days! Here are the Cliff's Notes of what's been happening in the last month:

I'm walking around like it's a marathon - I rarely sit down and certainly never crawl! I'm always on the move and my legs are thinning out (Mommy really misses my big chunky legs but I'm a big girl now)! I like to walk around outside and in stores (where I find all kinds of fun things to get into...like tonight we went to Walmart and I grabbed armfuls of clothes, some toys and even an Eeyore stuffed animal that Daddy wouldn't let me bring home...something about having a million stuffed animals already - the nerve!). I even push the cart all by myself :) Yep, big stuff.

I finally got my very own chair! Great Grandma Diane came to visit two weeks ago and she brought me a big, red Elmo chair :) I went completely ballistic over it and it's just about the only thing I'll take a little breather on. I like to sit in it and drink my juice :) I can even say "Elmo" now (though it sounds a little like "I know" - I'm working on it)! I also have my own little step-stool to help me get up on the couch, though I do enjoy turning it over and putting things inside of it :)

I'm learning lots of new words. I can say mouth, eyes, bath, hot, pancake (which, by the way, is my very favoritest food in the world), orange, more and well...lots more! I try very hard to say the words and I'm getting better all the time. I know a lot more than I can say just yet :) Right now Mommy is teaching me "up" and "down" and "on" and "off." I'm also learning a little spanish! Mommy bought me a book that I love soooo much - it's called "Te Amo Sol, Te Amo Luna" and all you have to say is "Te Amo" (which means "I love you") and I will run to find the book :) Daddy found a super fun video on the computer that I like to watch 47 million times in a row that has lots of spanish words in it. It's pretty fun stuff :) I'm also learning more sign language. I know the signs for bath, doll, music and fish. Mommy is trying to teach me help, hug, cookie and please. It won't be long before I catch on to those!

Mommy and I just came back from visiting Oma and boy was that ever fun! I played with Oma and the puppy forever and even learned a new game that I like to call "Feed the Dog Cheerios." It entails feeding the dog Cheerios and is very exciting :) The puppy didn't really like me before but now that I give her food (and drop a lot on the floor by accident), she's my best pal! I laugh and laugh when she licks the Cheerios out of my hand - it's the best! On my trip I also went to see Grandma K - I was so happy to see her that my smile was soooo big it almost hurt! I spent hours playing with her and walking around her building. I played piano for everyone and then when Mommy came to pick me up, I played for her and Aunt Nicole, too! I might just be the next Mozart :)

While it was a great trip, I was happy to get home! I missed my Daddy and all my toys :) Plus I just looooove my crib so much! Nowadays, Mommy will just ask if I want to take a nap and I run to my crib and try to climb in!

Well, folks, I think it's time to hit the sack - I've been awful sick with a cold the past few days and really need some extra sleep so I can feel better tomorrow. Plus my playgroups are coming up on Thursday and Friday, so I had better rest up! Nighty-night!
